Church School Partnership
Our Strong Links with All Saints Church
"The school, through its distinctive Christian character, is outstanding at meeting the needs of all learners"
SIAMS Church school inspection 2017
At Northleaze C of E Primary School, our Christian ethos is at the heart of everything we do. As a proud Church of England school, we have a close and cherished relationship with All Saints Church, which is located in the heart of our village, Long Ashton. Our partnership with the church helps us to bring our school vision—"Let your light shine" (Matthew 5:16)—to life, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to grow in faith, character, and community.
We continue to pride ourselves on being a full inclusive school and actively celebrate children and families of all faiths and beliefs into our school community.
Our connection with Reverend James and Reverend Jo enriches the spiritual life of our school. They visit us regularly to lead collective worship, helping us explore our Christian values of Respect, Kindness, Compassion, Creativity, Friendship, and Responsibility. Our pupils also have the opportunity to engage more deeply with their faith through Bible Club, which is run by members of the clergy each term.
Throughout their journey at Northleaze, children experience special moments at All Saints Church. Our Reception pupils are warmly welcomed to the church as they begin their school journey, and our Year 6 leavers take part in a special service to celebrate their time at Northleaze before moving on to new adventures. In addition, we gather at All Saints Church to mark key events in the Christian calendar, including Harvest, Christmas, and Easter, strengthening our faith and sense of belonging as a school community.
Music also plays a special role in our connection with the church. Our school choir is invited to sing at services throughout the year, bringing joy to the congregation and allowing our children to let their light shine through song.
At Northleaze, we are incredibly proud of our relationship with All Saints Church. It is a partnership that nurtures our pupils’ spiritual growth, encourages a strong sense of community, and helps every child develop the confidence to shine brightly in all that they do.
